How did you attract/address your audience?
We attracted our audience towards our OTS by making our media product stand out from others, as the traditional horror is based around a killer or psycho who will slowly pick off members of a group for fun or revenge, whereas our OTS has broken the mould as we are basing our OTS around a school student who is planning a shooting based upon the fact that the is bullied all the time. When discussing how to attract or address our audience, we included several elements which can achieve this, for example, basing it inside a school will appeal to the teenage bracket as it plays on memories that they would have had at school, it can also relate to any children that were bullied at school and relate to the feelings that they had at the time as we are highlighting the fact that bullying shouldn't be tolerated in any society.

The way that we address our audience was by making the rating being around the school age, so we thought the films rating should be 15. This would be a suitable age as they would be old enough for them to understand the concept, and also help them to understand the real dangers behind school shootings, so the film would double as a thrilling horror film, but it would also have a mild educational background as it would create an idea that bullying towards other pupils is unreasonable and shouldn't be tolerated. But we didn't want to upgrade to an 18 rated film as we felt that this wouldn't generate the tagret audience that we would have wanted, and wouldnt relate towards the age bracket we were looking for.
